How come you were so gentle on her? I mean "Michelle the Moron" is mild.

A lot of words, separated by commas could easily fit between "the" and "Moron."

Hi, BF! Of course, I remember you and I'm glad to hear from you. I only just started posting at The Agonist, and I'm quite happy about it. I'm glad you found me there so soon.

Anyway, I contacted Steve Hynd (the editor-in-chief of The Agonist) about the message you got when you tried to register. He told me it's something left over from the old editor's time at the blog, and they are working to change it. The entire site is going through a major redesign/revamping to make it more streamlined and easier to use in a lot of ways, including for the writers who post there.

However, if you want to register now, and not wait for the site redesign, you can do that by emailing Steve to that effect, and he will set up a user account for you "manually," so to speak. His email is cernig@sbcglobal.net.

Hey Kathy;

You may remember some exchanges between yourself and I at Justoneminute last year. I saw some of your final comments when I was absent, and a sock puppet using my handle apparently persuaded you it was myself.

I noticed you post at Agonist now, and I've been an occasional reader. When I saw your name, decided I would register.

Unfortunately, it is closed.

Just wanted to say Hi.

This is a topic that the mainstream press doesn't, but should, bring up over and over. It is important for the public to understand that some people want more religion or God in government. On the other hand, most don't as far as I can tell. Demographics in the U.S. are simply against people who want God in government. We are secularizing over time, which was a surprise to me when I looked into it a couple of weks ago. Given all the God talk, I just assumed that we were becoming more religious, not less. Given that disconnect between what religious zealots want and the rest of us, it is clear that they will try to force thier beliefs on the rest of us against our will. The Catholic church's publicly stated refusal to obey the recent proposed (now retracted) requirement to provide contraception as an insurance benefit is a crystal clear example.

I agree that it is outrageous that religion even comes up in politics. It has no place being there. Religion is a personal spiritual thing - that's all. It is no basis whatever for a modern government in a complex, competetive world. Injecting religion arguably is a source of divisiveness, failure and wasted tax dollars, i.e.,a source of failure in U.S. politics. The galling thing is that the mainstream press won't touch this topic like they should. They just don't have the courage.
